Just 10 days old!

I've been a baby lover since I was 5 years old and someone in the church nursery allowed me to help feed a baby. And I truly love all the stages, but there is just something so sweet and wonderful about newborns! Just look at this sweet little guy....

Please excuse my mess...

I've been making some changes to my blog during the last couple days: I upgraded so I could design the top banner and changed the format. Well, if you scroll down to my past entries, you'll see that some of my horizontal images are cut off on the right side. I haven't quite decided what I will do about it yet...if I'll create smaller versions of ALL the cut off images or see if I can make a format adjustment (which doesn't seem possible right now). As a perfectionist, it really bothers me to see my images this way, but I also have so much other work I need to be focusing on...I hope you can excuse it for a little while at least :)

And since blogs are always best with an image, here's one I took at my neighbor's home yesterday. They just put a tire swing on this beautiful old tree for their grandchildren. And I captured many great images (I definitely want to do some sessions with a tire swing....classic and timeless!!), but since I don't have the parents' permission yet, I'll just share this one...

 

When winter comes, and I'm cold and getting a little depressed, I'll just look this and remember warm summer days :)

Go, go, go...

I very rarely go up to strangers to give them my business card and tell them that I'm a photographer and would love to shoot their beautiful family...seems so pushy to me....but that's actually what I did a few years ago when I ran into little "P" and his mom at Starbuck's. He was just TOO cute and I had to say something! And I'm so thankful that I did because I've gotten to know a sweet and talented mom and her beautiful boy.

The first session, a couple years ago, he was just a toddler with his little, blue rain boots on. Now, he's all boy and ready to explore...

I absolutely love the texture of this next one! And with little "P" holding the goose feather (his found treasure), I think it captures everything wonderful about childhood!

An absolute DOLL baby....

This sweet little girl is just 3 months old. And I'm so excited that her parents have purchased one of my {First Year} packages because that means I'm going to be documenting all of her different stages...oh, I just love watching them grow :)

I love the little drool on her lip...sweetness!!

I was even able to get a few with big brother...

I'm going to try to catch up on posting from some past sessions...so check back again later today!
