I was going through my work to find sessions that I hadn't blogged yet and I realized that I had never posted the images from little Ezra's birth...over a year ago! I guess that's what happens when I don't keep up with my blog!
As a photographer who loves to document the special moments in life...I can't tell you what an amazing experience birth photography is! I've put together a little slideshow to share with you and I have to say... I still get emotional when I watch it. The emotions are so very raw: excitement, anticipation, fear, pain and love. And the moments don't get any more REAL than these. I work hard to disappear into the shadows and to capture it all.
One day, Ezra will be able to watch his mom and dad as they became parents. He will see how his dad gently comforted his mom, how his mom started to cry with joy when he was first placed in her arms and the smile on her face when she was finally able to see the little baby that had been kicking her for months. He will see the all the family and friends that had filled the room to witness and to celebrate his arrival. And he will know how he was loved before he even took his first breath.
You might recognize the beautiful couple from this maternity session. Just 7 days later, the little guy decided it was time to enter the world :)
Don't worry, these images are not graphic. Simply beautiful. And the song playing on the slideshow was actually playing at the time of his delivery...just another special touch :)
